Michael Charles Webber
ESCANABA – Michael Charles Webber, 60, of 1401 N. 23rd St., Lot 95, Escanaba, passed away on Jan. 1, 2013, at his home following an illness with cancer.
He was born on Aug. 10, 1952, in Trenary, son of John and Pauline (Slambo) Webber. Michael was raised in Trenary and attended Trenary High School.
In 1974, Michael moved to Escanaba.
On Aug. 9, 1975, Michael married the former Shirley Beverage at St. Joseph Church in Escanaba.
Michael worked for Holmquist Feed Mill in Trenary for 35 years, retiring in 2004.
Michael was an avid Packer fan. In his younger years, he had played fast pitch softball for Trenary Merchants.
He was baptized Catholic.
Among survivors include his wife, Shirley; son, Brett Webber of Escanaba; daughter, Becky Webber; grandson, Bryan Webber, all of Escanaba; mother, Pauline Webber of Trenary; brothers, Patrick Webber of Minnesota, Nancy (Robert) Brandt of Trenary, Steve (Donna) Webber of Escanaba, Kathy (Jim) Hughes of Escanaba and Maureen Webber of Trenary; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; two brothers, James and Thomas
Visitation will be on Friday, Jan. 4, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Escanaba.
The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Webber family with arrangements.
