Mich. State Police post has new leader
GLADSTONE – The Michigan State Police has announced the assignment of 1st Lt. Gregory S. Cunningham as commander of the Gladstone Post. Cunningham served as commander of the Iron Mountain Post since August of 2011.
As post commander at Gladstone, Cunningham is responsible for overseeing Michigan State Police law enforcement operations for Delta and Menominee counties.
Cunningham began his career with the Michigan State Police in 1995 and graduated as a member of the 111th Trooper Recruit School. In his 17-year career, Cunningham has served at the Stephenson, Sault Ste. Marie, Gladstone and Iron Mountain posts. He has held the ranks of trooper, sergeant, detective sergeant and post commander.
Cunningham served eight years active duty with the U.S. Air Force prior to joining the State Police. Cunningham is a native of Carrollton, Ohio, and resides in Delta County with his wife, Tamie, and their children.
