Boy Scouts to be honored at recognition dinner
ESCANABA – The Red Buck Sub-District of the Bay Lakes Council of the Boy Scouts of America will hold its annual Recognition Dinner on Sunday, March 10, beginning at 5 p.m. at the Elks Club in Escanaba. The dinner meeting is to recognize and honor the many volunteers who provide the Scouting program to our area youth.
Red Buck Sub-District serves youth in Delta County, part of Schoolcraft County, and a part of Menominee County, all of this with only one paid professional Scouter. Many volunteer Scouters provide the actual “program” for the area youth.
Also recognized at the March 10 dinner will be the Eagle Scouts of the Class of 2013. This group of Eagle Scouts is all of those who earned their Eagle Badge since last year’s dinner.
Eagle Scouts will not be charged for the dinner. The cost for all others will be $10. The menu this year is chicken and spaghetti, salad, garlic bread and dessert. A special speaker and numerous door prizes are planned.
All Units, Cubs, Webelos, Scouts, and Crew members are welcome and are expected to be in attendance.
For more information or to register for the dinner, RSVP to: Mark Rose, Red Buck Sub-District Commissioner, 786-0082, or email to Mrose1@chartermi.net.
