Ronald C. Sanville
GLADSTONE – Ronald C. Sanville, 73, of 415 S. 4th St., Gladstone, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at Marquette General Hospital in Marquette, Mich. He was born Sept. 21, 1939, in Escanaba, Mich., and was the son of Archie and Maude (Michau) Sanville. Ron attended school in Cornell and graduated from Escanaba High School in 1957. He served in the U.S. Army and then was employed in the construction industry. In 1968, Ron went to work at Mead Paper Company in Escanaba as an oiler and retired in 1991.
Ron married the former June Clavette on Aug. 3, 1968, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Escanaba. He was a member of Grace Church in Gladstone. Ron loved the outdoors, hunting, cutting wood, and having coffee with his siblings and nieces and nephews.
Ron will be truly missed at the Sanville Hunting Camp in Hendricks, which he loved so much.
Ronald C. Sanville is survived by: wife, June; daughter, Rhonda Sanville of Escanaba; grandchildren, Jake and Joey Walker and Haley and Sunny Martineau; stepchildren, Jay Neubauer of Milwaukee, William Neubauer of Cornell, Kathy (Brian) Sheeneman of Cornell; grandchildren, Clinton Neubauer, Jennifer (Jason) Brooks, Rachel (Jason) Pascoe, Rebecca Neubauer and Taylor Scheeneman; sister, Norma (Burt) Haring of Cornell; brothers, Gordon Sanville of Gladstone, Alan (Shirley) Sanville of Escanaba, Mike (Linda) Sanville of Cornell; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Roy, Archie Jr. “Bub,” Richard and twin brother Robert “Butch” Sanville; and sister, Millicent Wiest.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. Delta County Veteran’s Services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Friday at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services celebrating the life of Ronald C. Sanville will be held at 5 p.m. Friday at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel.
A luncheon will be served following the funeral services at Grace Church in Gladstone. Burial will take place in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the Luke Sanville (Ron’s nephew) Memorial Scholarship Fund.
