Students say thanks to community
This week’s bouquets go to:
From the Escanaba High School project graduation committee:
“We would like to send a huge bouquet to all who helped make our 2013 pasty sale a huge success. Thanks to all who took orders, made pasties and bought pasties. Everyone worked hard and our students will benefit greatly on graduation night from this fundraiser.”
From the Webster Elementary Staff:
“We would like to thank Mr. Dave Moyle and Delta County Bukokan staff for coming to the school and giving a martial art lesson to students in the after school club. The students really enjoyed the experience.”
From the Webster staff and students from the Wolverine Club:
“We would like to thank Mrs. Gail Rice for coming and sharing her talents. Mrs. Rice shared a story relating to nature and she provided the materials for the students to craft pinecone birdfeeders. Thanks Mrs. Rice for bringing a new activity to us.”
Each Saturday the Daily Press salutes individuals and groups from our area who have had a very positive impact on the way we live.
We identify our bouquet recipients in one of two ways: from Daily Press news pages and from nominations sent in by our readers.
Mail us a postcard or letter identifying your nomination and putting into detail what they’ve done. Include your name, address, and phone number. Send nominations to Saturday Bouquets, The Daily Press, 600 Ludington Street, Escanaba, MI 49829.
They may also be sent to us by going to our Web site, www.dailypress.net, and clicking on the submit news button. Once there, click on “Bouquets” and follow the simple instructions.
