Area youth say thank you
This week’s bouquets go to:
From Lemmer Elementary School staff and students:
“Lemmer Elementary staff and students wish to send a huge thank you to Jamie Peterson and Mark Ammel for helping us kickoff March is Reading Month. Jamie and Mark’s read and acted out Dr. Seuss’ book “If I Ran the Circus” for all students and staff. Students’ laughter and excitement from their program helped get everyone fired up for our circus theme during reading month. Thanks guys for helping make this a special experience for our kids.”
From the Bark River Harris Youth Wrestling Club:
“A big thank you to all of our sponsors, volunteers, and parents that helped make our second annual youth wrestling tournament a success. We appreciate all of your support and generosity.”
From Naomi Morin of Escanaba:
“Bouquets to Allan S. from Gladstone for his honesty and kindness.
I had accidentally dropped my wallet on the street which contained my important documents, including my drivers license and debit card. Allan took the time to call to inform me that he had found the wallet and returned it to me. Thanks Allan.”
Each Saturday the Daily Press salutes individuals and groups from our area who have had a very positive impact on the way we live.
We identify our bouquet recipients in one of two ways: from Daily Press news pages and from nominations sent in by our readers.
Mail us a postcard or letter identifying your nomination and putting into detail what they’ve done. Include your name, address, and phone number. Send nominations to Saturday Bouquets, The Daily Press, 600 Ludington Street, Escanaba, MI 49829.
They may also be sent to us by going to our Web site, www.dailypress.net, and clicking on the submit news button. Once there, click on “Bouquets” and follow the simple instructions.
