ESCANABA – Robert Johnson, 70, Escanaba, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2013, at Christian Park Center in Escanaba.
He was born on Aug. 26, 1942, in Escanaba, son of Robert and Rosemary (Herrick) Johnson. Robert attended St. Patrick’s Grade School and graduated from Holy Name High School in 1961.
Robert was a lifelong resident of Escanaba.
Robert worked in the grocery business all of his life and once owned Bob’s Food Ranch in Escanaba.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, watching football and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
Among survivors include his children, Tyler (Darcey) Johnson and Scott (Mary) Johnson; grandchildren, Cody, Emily, Dillon, Mandy, and Hunter Johnson; great-grandson, Beau Johnson; brothers, Dennis (Chris) Johnson, Randy and Kevin Kurth; sisters, Linda (Sheffer) and Brenda (Kurth).
He was preceded in death by his parents; and special friend, Joanie Case.
Family and friends will be gathering on Monday, March 25, at Drifter’s Restaurant in Escanaba from 11 to 1 p.m. to remember Bob’s life.
