Rodney Dale ‘Nitch’ Ketcham

GLADSTONE – Rodney Dale “Nitch” Ketcham, 52, of Gladstone, passed away Friday morning, March 29, 2013, at his home due to an apparent heart attack.

Rodney was born April 21, 1960, in Escanaba, the son of Edward and Violet (Trenton) Ketcham. He was raised in Gladstone and graduated from the Gladstone High School in 1979. Rodney worked construction throughout his life and was a member of the Laborer’s Union 1329. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching television and listening to music.

Survivors include: brothers, Edward (Dorothy) Ketcham of Plymouth, Ind., Robert (Rose) Ketcham of Sauk Village, Ill., James Ketcham of Gladstone, Mich., Jerry (Vivian) Ketcham of Gladstone, Mich., Ronald Ketcham of Escanaba, Mich., Dennis Ketcham of Gladstone, Mich., Michael (Laurie) Ketcham of Gladstone, Mich., Tim (Kathy) Ketcham of McHenry, Ill.; sisters, Wanda (Charles) DeMenter of Naubinway, Mich., Patsy Couillard of Gladstone, Mich., Susan (Robert) Kohnert of Birnamwood, Wis., Carol Ketcham of Escanaba, MI

Sister in Law: Patsy Ketcham of Escanaba, Mich. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Rodney was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Violet; infant brother, Daniel Ketcham; brother, Charles Ketcham; brother-in-law, Henry Couillard.

Rodney’s family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Closing prayer will follow visitation at 6 p.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Luncheon will follow and will be announced at the conclusion of services. Rodney will be laid to rest in the Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone.
