The Escanaba Elks Auxiliary has chosen Lynn Liebel as their “Auxiliary Member of the Year.” Liebel has been a member of the auxiliary for 23 years and served as vice president for two years. She also served on numerous monthly committees and on various special events such as the Memorial Service, wine and cheese party, ladies stag, bake sale and for many other functions. She is always willing to volunteer whenever there is a need.

Lynn has two grown children, a daughter, Shelly Fish, who is married to Bob, and a son, Kevin. When her husband, the late Gerald Liebel, was the Exalted Ruler, she traveled and participated in all Lodge activities with him. Liebel is a member of Bethany Lutheran Church.

Liebel has been employed at Kmart as a pharmacy technician for 36 1/2 years. She plans to retire in April to pursue and further enjoy her hobbies, which include riding her bike, spending time with family and friends, traveling and reading.
