Relief aid for Hurricane Sandy victims
Dorothy McKnight | Daily Press
With the need for emergency services reaching astounding heights following the devastation left in the wake of Hurricane Sandy on the country’s northeast coast in November, St. Vincent de Paul Societies both local and diocesan-wide stepped up to offer donations totaling approximately $377,000. The local society offered a share of that total, contributing a total of $3,000 for the relief effort. Assisting with the local project were: from left, Terry Saunders, warehouse manager; Mary Lu Gaudette, District Council spiritual advisor; Rene Ryan, Escanaba St. Vincent de Paul receptionist; and Gayle Perreault, client volunteer.
