Norbert ‘Doc’ Randall
ESCANABA – Norbert “Doc” Randall, 66, passed away Monday, April 22, 2013, at home following a brief illness.
He was born on Oct. 17, 1946, in Alpena, Mich., the son of Harry and Lillian (Sabourin) Randall.
At the age of three, Norbert’s family moved to Escanaba. He attended St. Joseph Grade School and graduated from Escanaba High School.
On July 31, 1965, Norbert married the former Rose Mary Gardner at All Saints Church in Gladstone.
Doc was employed with Robinson’s Furniture, Harnischfeger for 11 1/2 years; and the Michigan Liquor Control for 10 years.
He was Catholic by faith.
Doc enjoyed golf with his good friend, Tom Judson; four-wheeling, racing stock cars at the fairgrounds, and being with his family. He was an avid Packer and NASCAR fan.
Among survivors include his wife, Rose of Escanaba; sons, Jamie Randall of California and Scott (Sherry) Randall of Escanaba; daughters, Tammy (Steve) Douglas of Escanaba and Wendy (Ed) Wilbert of Hubertus, Wis.; grandchildren, Kyle Bellefeuil, Christina and Cassondra Randall, Victoria, Dylan, Ryan and Justin Randall, Matthew and Benjamin Wilbert and Derek Douglas; great-grandchild, Presley Bellefuil; brother, Gary Randall; sister, Barbara (Ron) Doyen; brother-in-law, Keith Mattson; Rose’s brothers and sisters, BJ (Jim) Ness, Jackie (Chuck) Miller, Mary Ann (Ed) Mikus, Kathy (Ron) Borkowski, Bob (Shirley) Gardner and Keith Mattson; and good friend, Tom Judson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Katie Mattson; and sister in law, Linda Randall.
Visitation will be on Friday, April 26, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Escanaba. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Lewis Hague officiating.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family of Doc and a memorial will be established at a later date.
The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Randall family.
