BIGELOW – Matt and Melissa Bigelow of Madison, Wis., welcomed their first child, a son, born on Jan. 14 at Meriter Hospital in Madison at 11:10 a.m. Maximus John weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces, and was 20 inches long at birth.

The mother is the former Melissa Salmon.

Dan and Sue Salmon of Bark River, Sue Bigelow of Escanaba, and Steve and Linda Bigelow of Crystal Falls are Max’s grandparents.

Great-grandparents are John McMahon of Bark River and Maxine Salmon of Malvern, Ark.

LaFAVE – Lansing residents, Josh and Dasha LaFave, welcomed their son, Henry Bryce, on May 1. Henry weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces at birth.

The baby joins sister, Megan, at home.

Grandparents are Will and Susan LaFave of Escanaba, Jane and Sergey Primakov of Chelyabinsk, Russia, and Debbie and Phil Maxwell of Springfield, Ill.

Henry’s great-grandparents are Escanaba residents, Leroy Hereau, Carol and Art LaFave, and Henry and Helen LaFave.

TROMBLEY – Haylee Breanne is the name chosen for the newborn daughter of Clay and Katie (Kenneally) Trombley of Escanaba. Haylee was delivered at OSF St. Francis Hospital April 18 at 9 a.m. She weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces and was 19 inches long at birth.

Haylee joins big sister, Hannah, at home.

Patti Kenneally of Escanaba is the baby’s maternal grandmother. Linda and Dan Robitaille of Cornell and the late Randy Trombley are the paternal grandparents.

Great-grandparents are Richard Way of Wells and Lois Kenneally of Escanaba.

ELDRIDGE – Conan Eldridge and Heather (Kohnert) Gray of Escanaba welcomed a daughter, Niecy Debra-Jo, at OSF St. Francis Hospital. Niecy was born April 11 at 8:46 a.m. weighing in at 7 pounds, 15.9 ounces and measured 19 inches long.

She joins brother, Dakota, and sisters, Kaitlyn and Morgan, at home.

Maternal grandparents are Dale Anderson of Escanaba and the late Debra Anderson. Jeff Eldridge of Bark River is the baby’s paternal grandfather.

RUETHER – Jerry and Christina Ruether of Rapid River welcomed their first child, a daughter, on April 5 at 11:45 a.m. Stella Mae was delivered at OSF St. Francis Hospital, weighing in at 8 pounds, 14 ounces, and measured 20 inches.

The infant’s mother is the former Christina Caswell.

Stella’s grandparents are Mark and Pam Caswell and Marcella Tredeau, all of Rapid River.

Great-grandparents are Lenard and Gail Verbrigghe of Brampton and Nolan Caswell of Rapid River.

LATVALA – Gracianna Marie is the name chosen for the newborn daughter of Chris and Sarah (Rabitoy) Latvala of Rock. Gracianna was delivered at Marquette General Hospital April 21 at 9:03 a.m. She weighed 8 pounds, 15 ounces and was 20.5 inches long.

The infant joins one sister and one brother at home.

Mike and Kim Rabitoy of Escanaba are the baby’s maternal grandparents. Carol Latvala of Escanaba and Carl Latvala of Republic are the paternal grandparents.

Great-grandparents are Robert and Roberta Anderson of Gladstone and Harriet Larson-Masta of Escanaba.
