Michigan State Police make $121,500 bust

CHANNING – Troopers from the Michigan State Police seized more than $121,500 worth of marijuana from a marijuana growing operation in Dickinson County Wednesday.

Troopers from the Iron Mountain Post along with agents from the Michigan Department of Corrections Parole Division responded to a residence at approximately 2 p.m. Wednesday in the village of Channing in Sagola Township.

Police made contact with a subject wanted for a parole violation and noticed the odor of marijuana inside the residence. Upon obtaining a search warrant, troopers located a marijuana growing operation inside the residence.

Police seized both growing plants and processed material, which had a street value of more than $121,500. They also seized the growing and processing equipment.
