Bernice M. Paulin

ESCANABA – Bernice M. Paulin, 95, Escanaba, passed away Saturday evening, May 18, 2013, with her family by her side at Christian Park Village in Escanaba. She was born on Oct. 20, 1917, in Escanaba, the daughter of the late Felix and Ella (LaFond) St. Peter. Bernice married the late Gordon Paulin at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in 1937.

She loved traveling, cooking for her churches and family gatherings, but mostly spending time with her grandchildren, especially holding the grand babies.

Bernice is survived by her three children, Terry (Gloria) Paulin, Carol (Bill) Stenger and Dale (Mary) Paulin; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two grandchildren and three brothers, Elmer, Jerome and Albert St. Peter.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Escanaba. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at St. Joseph & St. Patrick Parish with Fr. Rick Courier officiating.

Burial will take place in the Holy Cross Cemetery. A luncheon will be held in the church parish hall.
