Kimberly L. Blanchard
ESCANABA – Kimberly L. Blanchard, 37, 1401 N. 23RD St. Lot 32, Escanaba, passed away Wednesday evening, June 5, 2013 at her home following a lengthy illness.
She was born on Dec. 27, 1975, in Escanaba, daughter of Darrell P. and Joan (McDonnell) Valiquette. Kimberly was raised in Escanaba and attended Holy Name and John Lemmer Schools and graduated from Escanaba High School in 1995. She was a member of the Drama Club in high school.
On Oct. 30, 2010, the former Kimberly Valiquette married Andrew J. Blanchard in Gladstone.
She was a cashier at the Island Resort and Casino.
Kimberly enjoyed shopping and going to the casino.
She loved her cat, Shellby.
She was a member of the Limestone Baptist Church and Our Place Community Center in Escanaba.
Survivors include her husband, Andrew; her father, Darrell Valiquette of Sattahip, Thailand; mother, Joan Kayser of Trenary; step-brother, George A. Valiquette of Atlanta, Ga.; brother and sister-in-law; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be on Saturday, June 8, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Escanaba. The funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. with Pastor Ted Jolls officiating. A meal will follow at the funeral home in the dining area.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Kimberly’s name to the Midwest Kidney Centers, LLC, 3501 Ludington St., Escanaba, MI 49829.
