WILSON – Caroline Sjoholm, 81 of Wilson, Mich., passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013, at her home. The former Caroline Fisher was born on Sept. 9, 1931, in Sanford, Mich., to the late Walter and Anna (Smadel) Fisher. On May 20, 1950, Caroline married Leo R. Sjoholm in Waukegan, Ill. Caroline was an avid homemaker and also worked for the State of Michigan Unemployment Agency for many years. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, playing cards and bingo, crocheting and doing puzzles. Caroline was a 4-H leader for many years and was also a member of the Homemakers Extension.
Survivors include her husband, Leo of Wilson, Mich.; children, Robert of Charlevoix, Mich., Carol (James) Wells of Texas, Leroy (Lexi) of Powers, Mich., Norma Sjoholm of Kenosha, Wis., David of MS, Donna (Glen) VandeZande of Fond du Lac, Wis, Kevin of Bonduel, Wis, Irene McDonald of White Pigeon, Mich, Steven of Atlanta, Ga. and Dorothy (Mark) Debelak of Bark River, Mich.; 30 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lola Rosenquist of Menominee, Mich., and Margaret (Gordon) Collins of Minneapolis, Minn. Caroline was preceded in death by three sisters, Helen, Gertrude and Susan; and two brothers, Walter Jr. and Robert.
Family and friends may call at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home, Stephenson, on Wednesday July 3, after 3 p.m. CST until time of funeral service at 6 p.m. CST, Pastor David Christenson officiating.
