Beverly A. Robitaille
ESCANABA – Beverly A. Robitaille, 78, 1921 8th Ave N., Escanaba, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Bishop Noa Home in Escanaba following a lengthy illness.
She was born on April 16, 1935, in Escanaba, daughter of Ernest and Eva (Dubord) Benoit.
She married Gerald “Jerry” Robitaille on Nov. 27, 1954.
Beverly attended St. Joseph School and was a life long resident of Escanaba. She was a book keeper for her husband’s business, homemaker and most recently a foster grandparent at Webster School from 2008 until February of 2012.
She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church and the VFW Woman’s Auxiliary.
Beverly enjoyed her knitting club, crafts and an occasional trip to the casino.
Survivors include: four daughters, Connie (John) Stoykovich of Wells, Julie (Dave “Gut”) Johnston of Danforth, Karen (Bob) Parker of Sheboygan Falls, Wis. and Sherri (Gregg) Devere of Merrill, Wis.; two sons, Jim and Brian (Cherie) Robitaille of Escanaba.; 14 grandchildren, Mark, Mike (Jessica) Stoykovich, Melissa (Rob) Greening, Jason (Mindy), Nathan, Nicole, Jenna, and Baylee Robitaille, Taylor Nordman, Rian, Paige and Brett Parker, Austin Hannula and Braedyn Devere; four great grandchildren, Hannah and Hunter Robitaille, Leah Stoykovich and Robby Greening; one sister, Jean (George) Gontcharow; brother, Don Benoit; and dear friend, Marge Bichler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; infant son, Mark Allen; sister, Verna Farmer; and two brothers, Stanley and Clarence Benoit.
Visitation will be on Saturday, July 6, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Escanaba. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at noon at St. Thomas the Apostle Church with Rev. Rick Courier officiating. A luncheon will follow the funeral mass in the church hall.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
