Teals married 66 years
BARK RIVER – Wayne and Bonnie Teal celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on July 19. Wayne and the former Bonnie Calouette were married on July 19, 1947, during a ceremony held at St. Joseph Church in Escanaba.
Attending the couple were Joan Calouette, Queenie Waeghe, Maryann Gingrass, Melvin Teal, Bob Calouette and Ronald Bruce.
Wayne and Bonnie still reside in the home they built for themselves as newlyweds in Bark River and where they raised their four children, Bonnie Kaye (Larry) Curtin of Lansing, and Terry and Kathy (Hooker), Mary Jo (John) Robinette and Lori (Clarence) Lohrey, all of Bark River.
The Teals worked for the family business and eventually became co-owners of Teals Evergreens until their retirement in 1998.
Wayne and Bonnie, affectionally known as “Wiener and Buns,” enjoy traveling together and spending time with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
