Paul H. Frederickson
GLADSTONE – Paul H. Frederickson, 73, of Gladstone, passed away suddenly Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013, in Appleton, Wis.
Paul was born Aug. 2, 1940, in Escanaba, the son of Harold and Elsie (Pilon) Frederickson. He was raised in Escanaba and was a 1958 graduate of Holy Name High School. Following high school, Paul enlisted in the United States Army Reserve. On Oct. 9, 1965, Paul was united in marriage to the former Judith Hurthibise, at St. Anne Church, and together the couple made their home in Escanaba before moving to Gladstone, where they have remained since.
Throughout his life, Paul was employed by Harnischfeger Corp., Schwan’s and Hilltop RV, before retiring in 2003. Paul was a member of the “Remnants” Barbershop Chorus and the Gladstone Yacht Club. In addition, he enjoyed dancing, bird watching, camping, traveling and hunting. He will be deeply missed.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Judith; daughter, Carla Ann Frederickson of Wis.; sisters, Judith Roberts of Farmington Hills, Mich., Sharon (Daniel) Dlugas of Wells. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Elsie; brother, Wayne Frederickson; sibling twins, Mary and Joseph Frederickson.
Paul’s family will receive friends on Saturday from 2-4 p.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Military rites will follow visiting hours, at 4 p.m., at the Skradski Funeral Home, and will be conducted by the Gladstone American Legion August Mattson Post No. 71. Services will conclude with the Remnants Barbershop Chorus. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting Paul’s family with arrangements.
