Erma M. Branstrom
GLADSTONE – Erma M. Branstrom, 83, passed away Monday, Aug. 19, 2013, at her home in Gladstone.
Erma was born June 26, 1930, in Perkins, the daughter of Jule and Violet (Beauchamp) Demeuse. On April 29, 1950, Erma was united in marriage to Arthur “Dick” Branstrom and together the couple made their home and began their family in Taylor, Mich. Erma and Dick resided in Taylor from 1955 to 1976 before returning to Gladstone where Erma has remained since. Dick preceded Erma in death on May 6, 1994.
Erma was a member of the All Saints Church in Gladstone. In addition, she always looked forward to visits by her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors include: sons, Alan (Lynn) Branstrom of Rapid River, Bob (Terri) Branstrom of Munith, Mich., Art (Mary) Branstrom of East Windsor, N.J., Ritch Branstrom of Rapid River; brothers, Bill Demeuse of Gladstone, Dick (Pat) Demeuse of Howell, Mich., Dale (Jean) Demeuse of Howell, Mich.; sister, Delores (Allen) Lehouillier of Bark River; stepfather, Sulo Auer of Gladstone.
Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Erma was preceded in death by: her parents, Jule and Violet; husband Arthur “Dick” Branstrom;
infant daughter, Rebecca Branstrom; grandson, Riley Branstrom.
The Branstrom family will receive friends on Thursday from 3 to 5:30 p.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Mass of Christian Burial will follow visiting hours, at 6 p.m., at the All Saints Church in Gladstone, with Rev. Fr. Jamie Ziminski officiating. Luncheon will follow in the All Saints Parish Hall. Erma will be laid to rest on Friday morning, at 9:30 a.m. in the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Escanaba.
