Timothy T. ‘Teddy’ Kennedy
ISHPEMING – Timothy T. “Teddy” Kennedy, 58, 435 Stone Ville Rd, Ishpeming, and former resident of Escanaba, passed away on Friday evening, Aug. 30, 2013, at Marquette General Hospital.
He was born on June 27, 1955, in Escanaba, son of James A. Kennedy and Marjorie Peterson. The family moved to Madison when Tim was still in grade school. He graduated from Madison West High School in 1974. Tim attended Madison Area Technical College and earned his culinary arts degree.
Tim worked at a variety of restaurants including Micky’s Dairy Bar in Madison, Mr G’s in Arlingtin, Wis., and Teddy Kennedy’s Drive Thru Liquor in Lodi, Wis. He owned and operated Willly’s Wet Spot in Lodi, Wis.
He was baptized Catholic. Tim was a member of the Lion’s and Eagle’s Club.
Tim loved to golf, go to the movies, and patronize different restaurants to try their food.
Among survivors include his father, James Kennedy of Escanaba; brothers, James (Pam) of Aurora, Colo., Michael (Debbie) of Wausau, Wis., John of Middleton, Wis., and Stephen (Dawn) of Escanaba; sisters, Patty (Wayne) Crum of Crandon, Wis., and Maureen (Robert) Perryman of Escanaba; stepbrother, Bruce (Debbie) Krause; stepsisters, Brenda (Warner) Story and Bonnie (Pete) Quinn; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie; stepmother, Barbara Kennedy; and brother, Matthew.
Visitation will be on Thursday, Sept. 5, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Escanaba. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 5 p.m. at St. Joseph and St. Patrick’s Church with Rev. Rick Courier officiating.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Kennedy family.
