Friends of Library thankful for support from community
This week’s bouquets go to:
From Cindy Sjoquist:
“The Friends of the Gladstone Library thanks all those individuals, families and businesses who have supported our fundraisers throughout 2012-2013. We appreciate your contributions by volunteering, attending activities, with donations, and advertisements. We could not do it without you. Working together we do make a difference. Welcome aboard Masonville Township. Thank you for joining the Gladstone Schools and Public Library system.”
From Janice Jaeger, Escanaba:
“Bless John’s (Besse) soul at sharing his wealth in his community, at the college, the hospital and final act at the neighborhood park on 8th Avenue.
I live in the neighborhood of the John D. Besse park and pass it daily. My heart sings every time I do because of the gathering there, young and old alike. The equipment for the kids, grills and shelter, the disc golf and I see this a.m., a volley ball pit are all being used every day. Thank you John for your generosity.”
From The Gladstone Boys All Stars:
“The Gladstone 10/11 boys All Stars would like to thank everyone who donated and supported them in their trip to States. We are amazed at the generosity of our community and will cherish the memories always. Thank you again.”
From The Gladstone boaters:
“The Gladstone Boaters would like to send a huge thank you to Gladstone’s city commission, city manager, department heads, employees and especially Nicole Sanderson, recreation director, for their foresight and perseverance in obtaining the new floating dock system for the Gladstone harbor. The marina not only looks great but is much more functional and user friendly. Thank you.”
From Jennifer Pare:
“I would like to thank the Northern Lights YMCA for putting on a great day camp program this summer. Steve Carpenter and his crew did a great job in keeping the kids active while having fun at the same time. Each week there was a different theme along with a field trip to different places in the U.P. It is nice to know there is a great program like this in the area for my kids to attend during the summer.”
From Right to Life of Delta County:
“Special thanks to each and every person who volunteered their time or donated funds to help make the Choose Life booth at the U.P. State Fair a success again this year. Thanks also to the volunteers who help collect signatures for the No Taxes for Abortion Insurance Opt-Out petition drive in Michigan.”
