Area residents earn degrees from Ferris

BIG RAPIDS – Area residents are among the 1,888 students who completed the requirements for certificates, associate, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees at Ferris State University and Kendall College of Art and Design during the semester that ended in May.

Among the graduates are:

ESCANABA – Joseph Caron and Nicholas DuPont, bachelor’s welding engineering technology; James Kirby, Doctor of Pharmacy; and Matthew Manninen, bachelor’s biotechnology and biochemistry (cum laude).

GLADSTONE – Shannon King, associate’s delta hygiene (summa cum laude); Jamie Leisner, associate’s dental hygiene (magna cum laude); and Tammy Lyberg, Doctor of Pharmacy (distinction).

POWERS – Cassandra Kirschner, associate’s dental hygiene (cum laude).

RAPID RIVER – Tyler Crossman, bachelor’s recreational leadership and management, and Jake Nicholson, bachelor’s criminal justice-law enforcement.

VULCAN – Jordan Marchetti, Doctor of Pharmacy.

WELLS – Daniel Ettenhofer, associate’s CAD Drafting/Tool Design Tech, and Kyle Flodin, bachelor’s professional tracks.

WILSON – Jesse Bingham, associate’s allied health sciences.
