Robin M. Charlebois

WELLS – Robin M. Charlebois, 61, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, Sept. 15, 2013, at her home in Wells, surrounded by family and friends.

Robin was born Aug. 5, 1952, in Escanaba, the daughter of Russell H. and Patricia Ann (Lancour) Ross Sr. She was raised in Gladstone and Escanaba and was a 1972 graduate of Escanaba Senior High School. On June 10, 1972, the former Robin M. Ross was united in marriage to Calixt R. Charlebois at St. Joseph Church in Escanaba, and together the couple made their home and raised their family in Escanaba. Robin worked for an impressive 36 years as a self-employed hair stylist. In addition, her kind nature and social manner allowed her to make many loving and lasting friendships throughout her life. Robin was most comfortable spending time with family and friends. She also treasured spending time with her grandchildren and will be dearly missed by all.

Robin is survived by her husband, Calixt; son, Matthew Charlebois; daughter, April (Bob) Chaillier; brothers and sisters, Russ (Mary) Ross, Daniel (Ardith) Ross, Donna (James) Dubord, Debbie (Mark) Hackleman, Jeri (Wayne) Juhl, Randy (Tonya DeGrave) Ross, Tom (Peg Ryan) Ross; grandchildren, Calixt and Chloe Charlebois and Madelyn and Nicholas Chaillier; aunt, Mary Logan; mother-in-law, Marieda Charlebois; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ken (Lina) Charlebois, Dorothy Charlebois, Vicky (Larry) Elie, Joan (Jack) Clairmont, Mary Bouchard and Lois (Richard) Wood; special friends, the Vandeville and Paul families; also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Robin was preceded in death by her parents, Russell Sr. and Patricia, and her father in law, William Charlebois.

Robin’s family will receive friends on Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Robin M. Charlebois will follow visiting hours at 6 p.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone with Pastor Paul Doletzky of the Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Escanaba officiating. Luncheon will follow at the Plumbers and Pipefitters Hall in Escanaba. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Delta County Cancer Alliance. Envelopes will be available at the Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Charlebois family with arrangements.
