James F. ‘Jim’ Burns
ESCANABA – James F. “Jim” Burns, 63, 825 S. 26th, Escanaba, passed away on Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at Marquette General Hospital.
He was born on July 27, 1950, in Mansfield, Ohio, son of Wilbur and Ethel (Foushee) Burns. Jim grew up in Kennewick, Washington.
Those who knew Jim personally knew he was a profound artist, so vivid and original. This talent was private to him yet absolutely amazing. He had been inspired by the artwork of Tim Burton. He also enjoyed music, horticulture, and was an avid reader. He loved the outdoors and riding his bike and often collected oddities along his journey. This kind, generous heart appreciated the little he had, and everyone that was there for him during his struggles.
He is survived by his children who love and miss him, Marlon “Jacob” Burns of Washington State and Bonny Jean Burns of Two Rivers, Wis.; grandson, Isaac James Blomberg of Two Rivers; stepdaughter, Sara Lea Kidd of Gladstone.
Private services were held at the convenience of the family.
Special thanks to Dr. Reese of Marquette General Hospital. The Crawford Funeral Homes assisted the Burns family.
