HERMANSVILLE – Elaine Preaseau, 65, Hermansville, passed away on Sunday Sept. 29, 2013, from an apparent heart attack. She was born on Aug. 14, 1948 in Detroit, the daughter of the late Herbert and Olive (Ayotte) Ivey. On July 31, 1971 she married Norman Preaseau.
Her family to her mother’s home town of Hermansville in the summer of 1961 where she grew up and eventually met her husband. Together they raised their two sons, Bradley and Jason. Elaine was a very generous and kind person who always put others before herself. She loved her family beyond anything else, especially her grandchildren. Elaine also loved to sew warm quilts for the kids, and many new moms in the family were very lucky to have one of her “made with love” quilts. She was the happiest when with her family. Elaine will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Bradley (Tina) Preaseau and Jason (Jessica) Preaseau; two brothers, David (Cheri) Ivey and Roger Ivey; three sisters, Gail (Dave) Pavlat, Cheryl (Doug) Wendricks and Joanne (Michael ) Pach; seven grandchildren, and many many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Elaine Preaseau’s life will be celebrated during a private family service this week at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Spalding.
