Kathryn Ruth ‘Ruthie’ Loveless
CORNELL – Kathryn Ruth “Ruthie” Loveless, 73, of 3047 Co. 426 24th Road in Cornell, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba.
She was born Oct. 19, 1940, in Washington, D.C. and was the daughter of Frank and Audrey (Hall) Jeffries. The former Kathryn Ruth Jeffries married Philip Andrew “Coke” Loveless, Sr. on Sept. 21, 1957, in Parkland, Md. and he preceded her in death on May 15, 2002. Ruthie and Coke moved from Maryland to Cornell in 1974. Ruthie enjoyed playing bingo and dancing and was an avid NASCAR fan.
Kathryn Ruth “Ruthie” Loveless is survived by four sons, Andy Loveless of Vermillion, Ohio, Dan Loveless (Jody Pike) of St. Leonard, Md., Randy (Lucy) Loveless of Skandia, Mike (Judy) Loveless of Two Rivers, Wis.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, John (Betty) Brown of Leesburg, Va.; sisters, Marsha (Jim) Martin of Reidsville, N.C., Brenda (Bill) Hopwood of Gaithersburg, Md.; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by infant son, Robert; and sisters, Juanita and June.
Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services celebrating the life of Kathryn Ruth “Ruthie” Loveless will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with Father Emmett Norden officiating. A luncheon will be served following the funeral services in the Anderson Funeral Home fellowship area. Entombment will take place at the Gardens of Rest mausoleum.
