Prison inmates help Honor Flight

This week’s bouquets go to:

In September, prisoners at the Alger Correctional Facility, located in Munising, conducted a fundraiser which raised $645.31 from purchasing various food items. The prisoners chose to donate these funds to the Community Foundation For Delta County, who recently thanked the prisoners for the donation which was directed to the Upper Peninsula Honor Flight. The prisoners wanted to give back to the local community in this manner and are especially proud the funds were utilized to help our veterans.

From Laura Strom, Bay de Noc Kennel Club:

The Bay de Noc Kennel Club sends a big thank you to the volunteers from Paul Mitchell School, who helped us set-up and take down our agility course Oct. 25 and 27. You were a big help.

Each Saturday the Daily Press salutes individuals and groups from our area who have had a very positive impact on the way we live.
