Gail ‘Toni’ Clausen
GLADSTONE – Gail “Toni” Clausen, 66, of Gladstone passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, at the Christian Park Health Care Center in Escanaba after a short courageous battle with cancer.
Gail was born Dec. 15, 1946, in Gladstone, the daughter of Orville and Gertrude (Bovin) Bizeau. She was raised in Gladstone and graduated from the Gladstone High School. She was united in marriage to Walter Clausen.
Together they lived in numerous places while Walter was stationed in the military with their favorite being Germany and Alaska. Following Walter’s retirement, they lived in Texas before returning to the Gladstone area in 1992. Gail was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Gladstone and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends along with traveling, reading, biking and walking.
Gail is survived by her daughter, Kimberly (Jeffery) Baker of Escanaba; son, Christopher Clausen of Gladstone; five grandchildren, Erica, Brooke, Lilyauna, GracieAnn and Miabella; two brothers, Stan Bizeau and O.G. Bizeau, both of Gladstone and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and very special friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter, and her parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, Nov. 18, at 11:30 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church in Gladstone with Rev. Fr. Jamie Ziminski officiating. A luncheon will follow services in the church fellowship hall. Gail will be laid to rest in the Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone.
