Edna D. Kremer
BARK RIVER – Edna D. Kremer, 93, of 2981 13th Lane, Bark River (Hyde), passed away Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba. She was born Dec. 8, 1919, in Escanaba, Mich., and was the daughter of Otto and Rose (Posenke) Dittrich. Edna grew up and helped on the Dittrich family farm and attended school in Hyde. Edna moved to Chicago and worked for Western Electric.
The former Edna D. Kremer married Ralph M Kremer on April 27, 1952, in Chicago, Ill., and he preceded her in death on Sept. 8, 1989. The couple raised their family in Chicago and they moved back to Hyde in 1985. Edna was a member of St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church, was a talented seamstress, excellent cook, enjoyed baking, sewing and working in her flower gardens.
Edna D. Kremer is survived by: son, Ronald Kremer of Whiting, Ind.; daughter, Renee Kremer (Mike Dewar) of Escanaba; Grand Dog, Anni; brothers, Ronald (Bea) Dittrich of Hyde, Francis (Vivian) Dittrich of Gladstone; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Dittrich and Florence Blake, and brothers, Clarence. Roger and Carl Dittrich.
The family will gather from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. A private family service celebrating the life of Edna D. Kremer will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronald Zindler officiating. Burial will take place in the West Ford River Cemetery.
