Property stolen from unlocked vehicles

ESCANABA – Six unlocked vehicles were reported entered and items taken from them sometime overnight Thursday in north Escanaba, according to Escanaba Public Safety.

Two vehicles were entered at one residence on the 1400 block of North 22nd Street between 5 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. Friday, said police. Items taken were a speaker box and an amp valued at $300 and about $1 worth in change.

Sometime between 9 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday, three vehicles were entered at another location on the 1400 block of North 22nd Street. Stolen items included two pocket knives, two sunglasses, and change all amounting to about $75.

The sixth larceny from a motor vehicle occurred on the 2200 block of 13th Avenue North, said police. Sometime overnight on Thursday, a backpack, computer tablet, and video camera – all valued at $480 – were stolen from a vehicle.
