Ingrid L. Johnson

GLADSTONE – Ingrid L. Johnson, 80, passed away Monday evening, Feb. 3, 2014, at her home in Gladstone.

Ingrid was born Jan. 27, 1934, in Marquette, the daughter of Frank and Freda (Larson) Johnson. She was raised in Marquette and was a 1951 graduate of Gravette High School. In December of 1952, Ingrid was united in marriage to Bernard Johnson and together the couple resided in Marquette, for a few years, before moving to Gladstone where they made their home, raised their family and spent their entire lives together.

Bernard preceded Ingrid in death on Nov. 16, 1991. Ingrid was a member of All Saints Church in Gladstone. She worked and volunteered many hours at the Gladstone St. Vincent de Paul and was former president of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Additionally, Ingrid enjoyed knitting, reading, crossword puzzles, playing Nintendo, following current events and spending time with family and friends. She will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her sons, Robert F. Johnson of Gladstone, Steven (Edie Sanchez) Johnson of San Antonio, Texas; daughter, Patti (Gerald) Meyer of Somerset, Wis.; brother, Frank Johnson of Marquette; grandchildren, James (Tianna), Erik, Michael, Steven (Amanda), Katie, Michael, Justice and Jaylin.

Also surviving are many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents, Frank and Freda; and her loving husband, Bernard; Ingrid was preceded in death by her brother, Andy Larson; son-in-law, Steve Phalen.

Ingrid’s family will receive friends on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Mass of Christian Burial will follow visiting hours at 2 p.m. on Saturday at All Saints Church in Gladstone with Rev. Fr. Jamie Ziminski officiating. Luncheon will follow in the All Saints Parish Hall. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting Ingrid’s family with arrangements.
