Reading Buddies say thank you
This week’s bouquets go to:
From the volunteer Reading Buddies at the Cameron Elementary School in Gladstone:
Many thanks to the members of the Cameron PTO who supply cookies, bars, donuts, muffins and other treats for the volunteer Reading Buddies each Wednesday morning. Many of the treats are homemade but all are delicious and much appreciated. And thanks to the school for providing fresh coffee each week.
From Right to Life of Delta County:
“Right to Life of Delta County thanks each and every person who made a difference for life by supporting our annual January signature press ad appeal. (Note) Art Brien and Dick Thompson’s names should have been included in the memorials. Thanks also to the groups and churches who held the March for Life and reception, Respect Life prayer service, showed the D.V.D of Abby Johnson’s dramatic conversion and all those who witnessed for life with their prayers, letters, phone calls, and emails and made the bus trip to Washington D.C. to take part in the annual March for Life!
May God bless you all for your efforts to help build a Culture of Life.
Each Saturday the Daily Press salutes individuals and groups from our area who have had a very positive impact on the way we live.
We identify our bouquet recipients in one of two ways: from Daily Press news pages and from nominations sent in by our readers.
Mail us a postcard or letter identifying your nomination and putting into detail what they’ve done. Include your name, address, and phone number. Send nominations to Saturday Bouquets, The Daily Press, 600 Ludington Street, Escanaba, MI 49829.
They may also be sent to us by going to our Web site, www.dailypress.net, and clicking on the submit news button. Once there, click on “Bouquets” and follow the simple instructions.
