Bob Cook

GLADSTONE – Bob Cook, 67, of Gladstone, passed away Tuesday evening, Feb. 11, 2014, at Marquette General Hospital.

Bob was born Oct. 4, 1946, in Escanaba, the son of Ralph and Betty (Guimond) Cook. He was raised in Wells and was a 1964 graduate of Holy Name School. Following high school, Bob enlisted in the United States Navy. Upon his discharge, He returned to Wells before moving to Green Bay where he worked as a machinist for FMC Corporation.

On Sept. 3, 1994, Bob was united in marriage to the former Linda Chizek, in Gresham, Wis., and together the couple made their home in Wells before relocating to Gladstone where they have resided for the past seven years. Bob was a member of the New Life Assembly of God Church in Escanaba. In addition, he was a scout leader for the Boy Scouts of America and enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Linda; sons, Scott (Becky) Cook of Green Bay, Wis., Patrick (Samantha) Cook of Green Bay, Wis., Rob Rank of DePere, Wis.; brothers, Ralph (Bernice) Cook of Escanaba, Mich., Jim (Liz) Cook of Escanaba, Mich., Russ (Kathy) Sturdivant of Green Bay, Wis., Allan Cook of Madison, Wis.; sisters, Mary Wilbur of Escanaba, Mich., Vivian (Jerry) Ketcham of Gladstone, Mich., Donna (Ron) Faccio of DePere, Wis., Ninna (Ace) Allen of Madison, Wis.; grandchildren, Josie, Alex, Jonathan, Jeffery and Cassie. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Tammy Shepard.

Bob’s family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the New Life Assembly of God Church, 2005 8th Ave. S., Escanaba, MI 49829. Military rites will follow visiting hours at 1 p.m. at the New Life Assembly of God Church with the Delta County Veteran’s Council, presiding. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Bob Cook will follow military rites with Pastor Robert Derheim officiating. Luncheon will be served following funeral services in the New Life Assembly of God Fellowship Hall. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Cook family with arrangements.
