New Honor Society established at ISD
ESCANABA – Ten students were inducted into the newly formed Delta-Schoolcraft I.S.D. Career and Technical Education Honor Society. ISD Honor Society students are very skilled in their welding, computer business, automotive, and education technical trades, and they met honor society criteria of character, citizenship, leadership and service to community.
Principal Luke Siebert commented, “This is the first year that the I.S.D. has had an honor society to recognize well rounded students with exceptional technical skills. Because colleges and employers look for applicants with honor society traits, membership will open doors to colleges, scholarships, and employment. Additional students will be selected from those who apply at the end of the semester in the spring.”
Honor Society members include Trent Smith and John Soper III from welding, Joely Fisher from automotive technology, Aalysiah Spencer from business communications, Kristen Bergstrom from business communications and careers in education, Katrina Torreano from entrepreneurship, Brittany Tebo from entrepreneurship and accounting, Bailey Dalgord from accounting, and David Germain and Bryce Pond from the personal computer technician program.
