Winter parking ban back on in Escanaba

ESCANABA – Predictions of another winter storm this weekend have prompted the City of Escanaba to extend the parking restrictions that were slated to expire April 1.

“We’re going to extend them one week,” said Escanaba Public Safety Capt. Jamie Segorski.

The restrictions will now expire April 8. While parking restrictions are in effect, parking will be limited to one side of every street and avenue in the city limits from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. Parking will be allowed on the west side of streets and the north side of avenues.

Parking on both sides of the street will be permitted on Ludington Street and the 100 blocks off of Ludington Street with the exceptions of the 100 blocks of South 15th Street, South 16th Street, South 17th Street, South 19th Street, and South 22nd Street.

Vehicles may not be parked for more than one half-hour on any street or avenue in the city between the hours of 2 a.m. and 7 p.m.
