Christiansons to celebrate 65 years
ESCANABA – Warren and Eleanor Christianson will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on April 2 at Christian Park Home in Escanaba.
Warren and Eleanor were married in Omaha, Neb., on April 2, 1949, and lived in Des Moines, Iowa, for several years. In 1956 they moved to St. Ignace where Warren was part of the crew that built the Mackinac Bridge. He was an ironworker for 40 years, working on projects including the International Bridge and the Soo Locks.
In 1958 Eleanor opened Eleanor’s Beauty Shop, which she continued to operate on Portage Road until 1992.
Until recently they have been living in Gladstone near their son, David Christianson, and his wife, Kathy.
