Josephine (Pach) Gaber
FRANKLIN PARK, Ill. – Josephine (Pach) Gaber, 89, Franklin Park, Ill., passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2014, unexpectedly.
She was born on Perronville on Feb. 14, 1925, the daughter of John and Mary (Stozek).
She moved to Chicago at the age of 15 and on June 14, 1947, she married Anthony Gaber in Chicago where she lived most of her life.
Josephine enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, fishing, playing bingo, polka music and dancing, having pizza and beer, and being with her family. She was Catholic by faith.
Among survivors include two daughters, Barbara and Janet; five grandchildren, Jason, Lisa, Nicholas, Lindsay and Jared; two great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Milo; sisters, Theresa Tyra, Rose Koszla, and Mary Ann Costabile; and brother, Valerian Pach.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Donna Gaber.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 28, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Chapel in Bark River. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Fran DeGroot officiating.
Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Perronville at a later date.
The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Gaber family.
