Pearl Allard

ESCANABA – Pearl Allard, 85, of 5283 18th Road, Escanaba, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at Christian Park Center.

She was born on April 14, 1928, in Bark River, daughter of Jesse and Daisy (Burr) Deiter.

Pearl graduated from Stephenson High School.

Pearl married Joseph Allard on Oct. 5, 1946, in Escanaba. He preceded Pearl in death on May 22, 2004.

She resided in Soo Hill for 60 years and was employed with Harnischfeger, a fishery, canning factory and as a prep cook.

Pearl enjoyed canning, gardening, woodworking and knitting.

Among survivors are two daughters, Linda (John) Depuydt of Danforth and Darlene (Larry) Leach of Gladstone; one son, Terry (Jenny) Allard of Wells; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; two brothers, Richard of Escanaba and Donald (Cindy) of California; nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 1, at Gardens of Rest Cemetery.

The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Allard family.
