Tuskans married 50 years
GLADSTONE – Lloyd and Mary Tuskan of Gladstone celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a party for immediate family members held at the Terrace on April 20. A cake and coffee hour was held in their honor at the First Lutheran Church in Gladstone on April 27.
Lloyd and the former Mary Ebbesen were married at First Lutheran Church on April 23, 1964, with Rev. Reuben Carlson presiding. Attending the couple were: maid of honor, Sue Manson, sister of the bride; groomsman, the late Gerald Saari, brother-in-law of the groom; and flower girl, Jane Coyne Smith.
Lloyd worked for Mead Paper for 29 years before retiring on April 1, 1998. He coach Little League for 13 years and is a member of the Mead Rod and Gun Club. He also enjoys hunting and fishing. His wife’s hobby includes sewing. Both Lloyd and Mary are members of First Lutheran Church and the Terrace Bluff Golf Club.
The Tuskans are the parents of three children, Lloyd M. Tuskan of Maumee, Ohio, Brenda (Tuskan) Normand of Gaylord, and Kerstin Tuskan of Neenah, Wis. They also have two grandchildren, Emily Tuskan and Stephanie Normand.
The Tuskans will be going on a family cruise to Hawaii in July.
