Erlinda ‘Linda’ Gunville

ESCANABA – Erlinda “Linda” P. Gunville, 74, Escanaba, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2014, at her home in Escanaba. She was born on June 18, 1939, in Manila, Philippines, the daughter of the late Pio and Ines (Poblete) Botastas. On May 7, 1962, she married the late William “Bill” Gunville in the Philippines.

Linda, along with her husband, owned and operated the B & L Archery Shop in Escanaba for many years.

She is survived by two sisters, Aurora (Richard) Foat and Pacita Rosales; her special friend, Bobby Shattle; one brother-in-law, Bob Broaddus; many nieces and nephews both of the Philippines and the United States; great-nieces and nephews and friends in the Escanaba area.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Luz Broaddus and Flora Covieo; two brothers, Romulo and Venancia Botastas; and one brother-in-law, Abraham Rosales.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Escanaba with parish prayers at 5 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 30, at St. Joseph and St. Patrick Parish with Fr. Eric Olson officiating. Burial will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery. A luncheon will be held in the church parish hall.
