Lois June Clark
GLADSTONE – Lois June Clark, 81, of Gladstone, passed away on Feb. 18, 2014, at Pinecrest Nursing Care Facility in Powers, where she had resided since November 2013.
Lois was born on June 14, 1933, in Nahma. She was the daughter of Phillip and Clementine (Nault) Gagnon. Lois was raised in Gladstone where she met and married the late Charles Albert Norkooli. During her many years residing in Gladstone she was employed at EatonYale and Towne and also as a nurses aide at OSF.
In 1976 she married the late Dale W. Clark and they relocated to Alma, Mich., until Dale’s retirement in 1985 when they moved back to Gladstone.
Lois loved bowling and dartball. She played on the Bungalow dartball team for many years. She loved camping and was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors. Lois spent a lot of time in her gardens and outside enjoying the flowers that she grew and cared for. She had a passion for animals and she enjoyed spending time with her four-legged pets who she cherished.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Ferris, Ray, Phil, Alvin (Bib), and Arnold; and her sister, Verna Hardwick.
She is survived by her five children, Carl (Pat) Norkooli of Colorado Springs, Colo., Lois (the late Ron) Muse of Gladstone, Linda Heitman of Escanaba, John (MaryJo) Norkooli of Gladstone, Dennis (Kathy) Norkooli of Alma, Mich.; and her sister-in-law, Margaret Ann Gagnon of Gladstone.
She is also survived by nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Lois will be sadly missed by all.
The family will receive family and friends on Friday, June 13, from 12 to 2 p.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Memorial services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Christine Berquist officiating. Lois will be laid to rest in the Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone.
