Police investigation leads to cocaine arrest

RAPID RIVER – Detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team, UPSET, arrested a 60-year-old Rapid River man Tuesday on two counts of delivery of cocaine and one count of conspiracy to deliver cocaine.

The arrest is part of a three month investigation. Earlier in the investigation, on May 23, a 62-year-old Kent County man was arrested in Rapid River for possession with intent to deliver cocaine.

The case has been sent to the Delta County Prosecutor’s office for review for additional charges and further arrests. UPSET was assisted with the investigation by Michigan State Police Hometown Security Team and the Delta County Sheriff’s Department.
