Joseph Palequin Jr.

CRYSTAL RIVER, Fla. – Joseph Sr. and Lois Palequin welcomed Joseph Jr. into the world on March 2, 1969. They were there to welcome him into Heaven’s Gate on May 20, 2014.

Joey was a self-taught auto mechanic and loved to work on Chevy cars. He hoped to one day own a shiny red Camero. Joey was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Lions and the Detroit Tigers.

Joey lived an adventurous life that lead him into the United States Army and then back home to Michigan (Escanaba, Marquette). Five years ago he moved to Crystal River, Fla., to be near his loving fiancee, Jaime Elmhirst.

Joey is survived by one son, Joshua (Kelsey Rates) Villeneuve of Escanaba, whom he loved very much; four sisters, Lois (Danny) Forrester of Skandia, Jo Lynn (Robert) Flath of Escanaba, Ida Palequin of Huntersville, N.C., and Elaine (Mark) Cousineau of Escanaba; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Joseph Sr. and Lois; brother, John; and his precious daughter, Angelica Marie.
