“Fizz-Boom-Read” — Kick-off for Gladstone Library Story Hour

Gladstone Public Library recently had its kick-off Story Hour to celebrate summer reading. A total of 127 children and 65 adults attended the event. Stories were shared by volunteers, music was provided by Julie Aschbacher, a summer craft, snack and book check-out completed the one-hour program. The children enjoyed a special visit from a Sand Monitor Reptile named “Slick.” Above, Dana Johnson, reptile handler and owner tries to get Slick to kiss Braidan Miron on the nose.
