Altrusans dig in and get heir hands dirty

Escanaba has been getting ready for summer and the members of Altrusa are doing their part by planting the flower beds at the Municipal dock park. At right, Denise Boyle loaded up her truck with colorful annuals from Tony’s Greenhouses, and Karen Bartosz left, and Karen Meiers helped her unload while Karen’s husband Robert rototilled the flower beds. Members Frances Michaels, Donna Marchak, and Cathy Gerou worked alongside volunteer and friend Sandra Dewar, preparing the beds and planting hundreds of petunias, marigolds, begonias, snapdragons, moon flowers, and more.
