Marshall A. Joncas

ESCANABA – Marshall A. Joncas, 63, Escanaba (Riverland area), passed away on Friday, June 27, 2014, at his home. He was born on May 3, 1951, in Escanaba, the son of the late Charles and Josephine (Anderson) Joncas. On May 3, 1980, he married the former Sandy Tackmier at Christ The King Lutheran Church in Escanaba.

Marshall was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He also loved driving “his” grader at the paper mill, but mostly he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife; four children, Duane (Kerry) Jackson, David Jackson, Kimberly Jackson, and Mandy Joncas; one brother, Leon (Connie) Joncas; four grandchildren, Lacy, Keith, Marissa, and Sage; his lifelong friend, Mike Corbett; as well as cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Marshall was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Ronald Joncas; and a granddaughter, Hannah Mounts.

Family and friends will celebrate Marshall Joncs’s life on Sunday, July 6, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the USW Local 21 hall, (1201 Sheridan Rd., Escanaba, Mich. 49829).
