ESCANABA – Celebrate Recovery offers help and hope to individuals who are suffering from drug dependency, debilitating habits and emotionally-damaging hang-ups.
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered program based on biblical truths for real freedom. This program started 19 years ago and is now in more than 12,000 churches across the country.

ESCANABA – The Family History Center (Genealogy Center) is open Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. for those who are searching for their family roots.
A trained staff is available for assistance. The center has four computers, as well as three film readers and a film printer, and a microfiche reader. Many books on genealogy and Michigan vital records are available as well as access to the world’s vital records.

Gladstone Senior Center
GLADSTONE – Gladstone Senior Citizens Non-profit Corporation in conjunction with Community Tai Chi is offering Tai Chi on Thursday at 10 a.m. Classes are designed for people who want a program of exercise that is gentle on the joints and has been proven in research studies to reduce pain and improve ability to do more daily activities.
The program is taught by nationally certified Arthritis Foundation and Tai Chi Health Institute leaders. This class is free and open to anyone.

GLADSTONE – Sons of the American Legion Post 71 of Gladstone will meet Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
to host fund-raiser
MUNISING – The Tri-County Volunteer Fire Department will be holding their annual fund-raiser on Saturday, July 19, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. This year’s fund-raiser will include an auction, silent auction, bucket auction, bake sale, raffle, junque sale, food, pop, beer, games, music entertainment and more.
The annual fund-raiser is the department’s only means to raise funds to keep the department running. The department serves parts of seven different townships in three counties for five protections. They are Munising, AAu Train, Nahma, Garden, Inwood, Mathias, and Masonville.
Raffle tickets are on sale now. Prizes this year will be $500 for first, a full-size quilt for second, $100 for third, $50 for fourth and fifth, and an afghan for sixth.
Drawings will be held at 5 p.m. on July 19, and individuals need not be present to win.
Donations are welcome, however, no clothes, tires, mattresses, carseats, or T.V.s. will be accepted.
