Suspects arrested in home invasion
MARQUETTE – Two suspects were arrested in Marquette on Friday on charges of home invasion and felony firearm after they allegedly entered an occupied home and assaulted the homeowner, according to Marquette City Police.
One of the suspects allegedly brandished a firearm during the home invasion which occurred around 6:43 a.m., police stated in a news release.
Shortly after getting a description of the suspects from the victim, police located a vehicle and the suspects who were apprehended without incident. During execution of a search warrant, stolen firearms and property were located in the vehicle and a residence.
The two suspects are scheduled to be arraigned today in Marquette County District Court. They remain in the county jail each in lieu of a $500,000 bond.
The victim sought his own treatment for non-life-threatening injuries, according to police who continue the investigation.
