Chicken issue survey now on city’s website

GLADSTONE – The City of Gladstone is looking for citizen feedback on the issue of whether or not to allow chickens in the city limits and has created an online survey for residents to voice their opinions.

The survey is located on the city’s website,, and can be found under the “News” banner. Residents are asked to vote ‘yes’ if they want chickens or ‘no’ if they do not want chickens and leave comments. Those who are unable to cast their vote online are encouraged to register their vote with Renee Barron by phone at 428-4586.

The topic will be discussed and the results of the survey will be shared at the Aug. 11 regular city commission meeting. Residents are asked to cast their vote and attend the meeting to participate in the discussion.
